I was watching P.S. I Love You last night. As usual I like to turn on the subtitles while watching the movie. One thing I noticed, for most of the dvds I watched, the English subtitles are always for the Hearing Impaired.
This made me think- why do people have to assume the English subtitles are only for the hearing impaired? Didn't they know there are also a lot of people who watch Hollywood movies but English is not their first language?

it's always amazed me that I can get a French film and not have french subtitles...
