Reasons working for Google

I was doing a self-assigned research about Google....Now, i love the culture of google. They have a page called the top ten reasons working for google..I like it...There are several points that i really admire and i would integrate it into my work-life philosophy.

During my international finance class today, my professor was talking about people in the states are working longer and longer hours while at the same time the salary is shrinking by 3% every year lately. One of the main reasons is global compeitition from China and India. I totally agree becuase I'm in this globalization game.

I guess in the end, find a career which you love dearly is the key because if you really enjoy doing something, time doesn't matter. In my situation, I know i like working with the people in the office, and I know i'll be making difference to million's of people's lives because i'm going to deal with their retirement plan. And particularly i'll be dealing with people working in a city where those giant companies are downsizing and losing money for quite a few years. I'm glad that i made the deicision to work in this city.It's not just for because of some close friends, but also choosing a place with challenging problems to solve.

I also watched the video of google recruiting and I found it's a nice video which captures the essense of googles in 7 mintues. Gosh, those images stick into my mind now. i know that no company is the same and I don't expect my future company will have the exact same culture as google. However, "be the change you want to see in the world" right? Therefore, I'm intending to bring in the fun,innovative and balance part to my work life. Since my vibe is that contagious, I know I can make the office a better place to for everyone.

I know I know..I'm thinking too far now. Come on, I just finished my portfolio management exam today, so give me a break okay!
