Sometimes I feel like studying for the exam is like eating the vegetable on my plate when I was a kid. I may not like it at the time, but I know it's good for me. :)
It's amazing how much excuses I can think of when it comes to procrastinating my study. This was the conversation me and Socrates (see the nicknames of my friends on the left) had yesterday.
Me: I think I'm going to subscribe the WSJ. I read the entire paper at the hotel today and I really like it.
Socrates: It's worth it only if you have time to read the Journal every day. Do you have time for that?
Me: I think so, I can either read it in the morning before I go to work or after work...
Socrates: What about your studying? Don't tell me this is your another attempt to avoid studying...
Me: Eh....yes...subconsciously....probably this is my intention I wasn't even aware of...
So the conclusion is....no WSJ subscription for me until my exam in Oct.

Study Updates
Before I move on to the next exam, I want to say a big THANK YOU to Yufeng Guo . I took Guo's online course to prepare for Course M last year and it was one of the success factors for me to pass my exam.
Just like what Guo said at the beginning of the course, "taking an actuarial exam is just like climbing Mount. Everest. You need preparation, discipline and motivation to succeed. You also need to have the right attitude."
Now I'm carrying over this mindset to prepare for my Course C. No, Guo didn't offer Course C online course at this moment. And I have to look elsewhere for a good study material. I bought BPP a few weeks ago, but it's been such a pain to carry that Q&A folder around since it's too heavy (I study both at home and at the office). So I bought ASM last night, but it won't be shipped until 1/19. In the meantime, I'll read the BPP manual just to get an understanding for the material.

Exam M Crunch Time
All right, Exam M is next Tuesday. I'm having these few days off (thanks to the company generous study program) and getting ready for Exam M. I hope everyone that I know (including myself) will pass M this time because I know that we all studied very hard.
Good luck everybody and All the best!
